I've been a big fan since Syphon Filter Dark Mirror back in 2006, I was highly addicted to it but stopped playing because of the easy hacks. Then I moved on the Combat Ops and became addicted again. The community was started to decline so I purchased Logans Shadow and back to business. Then the shut down the servers and i wasn't able to play my game again. Now, I have a really old PSP with Combat Ops and Logans Shadow. How can I play the game? Thanks guys, can't wait to contribute to this community.

I thought SF was dead...
So, I decided to YouTube Syphon Filter Combat Ops, just to watch some game play of it because I really miss that game. Read a comment in one of the videos saying that game is still playable even with the servers being shut down.

Re: I thought SF was dead...
Welcome to SFC!
Well, since the shutdown, it's very hard to play Syphon Filter online again.
Yet, there are only 2 ways to play it online. The first way is adhoc Party which requires a PS3 and works perfectly. The second way is the 'Link Kay' application which is very hard to set up correctly.
The big problem of those two ways is that not everyone has got a PS3. And for the Link Kay way, not everyone knows how to set it up correctly so you wont find other people playing because just of those problems.
If you want to play Syphon Filter through adhoc Party, you might play it with me. I'd love to play it once again after this long time.

You mean the link?
Its a "bridge" which connects your psp wirelessly to a database with PTP emulation like Coldbird's but as I can see,its an alternative way of what Coldbird has made.I could say that it works kinda like XLink Kai with more stable basics, but I dunno nothing more

Re: I thought SF was dead...
So... basically there's a chance SF:CO would be compatible?

Re: I thought SF was dead...
There is a good % to be compatible but as I have seen, games like MH in psp which is used as a main example on the video,it hasnt the same structure while SF is more complicated in its infrastructure connection.MH hasn't online mode, but we all know that its possible to operate it via XLInk Kai and Coldbird's exploits. Thus, the PTP Emulation of SFCO is much bigger and difficult to "modify' it and make it compatible with PRO-C features.PPSSPP seems like a version of XLink Kai with more compatibilities and without extra bridges to connect with the server of database.Simply,we can have a hope on PPSSPP method, which isnt ready but,the possibility not to work is explicitly bigger..
Moreover,I have mention it to many previous topics,I believe that Coldbird hasnt takent the chance to "open his book" and see what's wrong with SF Compatibility.Hopefully,we know from our friend,Omnitrix that it's a PTP Emulation problem which needs a technique with hacking tools to modify and make it work with PRO-C's clients.
Let the technology and Hacking work guys,if not, continue your life
